16. Scale your display

Ultra high resolution displays sound good in principle but they can cause severe eye strain if you haven't set your scaling properly.

Right-click on your desktop and select Display settings from the context menu. You can also find these options by going into Settings>>System>>Display.

By default the Surface Pro is scaled to 200%. Try sliding to the left or right for more or less magnification.

You will need to sign-off and sign back in for all applications to respond to your new scaling settings.

Some older software like Paint Tool SAI 1.x is not scaling-aware and will be unusable at the Surface Pro's default resolution. You can go into Advanced display settings and choose a lower resolution if you absolutely must use a program that doesn't scale.

Most modern programs will have an option in their preferences that allow you to choose a larger or smaller interface. In Photoshop, for example, go to Edit>>Preferences>>Interface and find UI scaling settings under Text.
