12. Try a different pen tip
The default tip on the Surface Pen is an HB nib, which provides a bit of resistance on the tablet’s glass display.
But you don’t have to settle for that experience if you don’t like that tactile response. Microsoft sells an assortment of pen tips that range from even grippier to very hard.
If you find that your pen skips strokes, you may want to swap to a harder tip.
Older Wacom tabletPCs also offer a variety of nib textures, but the latest ActiveES pens only offer one variety.
